Our plan for the gallery space was to redesign the interior. We initially struggled with which view to do, facing the window or facing the door in the back. Our proposition was to create a separation between the front of the gallery and the back by adding an arch. This would solve the issue of being able to see the entirety of the gallery through the window, while also allowing the viewer to have a bit of a “sneak peak” inside.

While we all worked on two different views of the gallery, ultimately we decided to combine all of our elements into the view facing the window. The aesthetic that we decided on for the entirety of the gallery was modern. This meant the color palette for the furniture would mainly be black, grey, or white.

We assigned each other different roles, as in different aspects of the gallery that we would complete, such as one person creating the floors, one creating the furniture, the frames, the space itself, etc. At the end, we combined all of the elements into a single document. After we had completed constructing the basic functions of the gallery/furniture items, we went in and added smaller details like items on the desk, pictures in the frames, and things on the shelves. Despite these changes, we wanted to keep our designs for the gallery as grounded as possible, so we also wanted to include things that the gallery already were planning on having such as the hardwood floors, white walls, and cool lights.
